Tim Benjamin Cast As ‘Caring Yet Flawed’ Ben

Tim has been performing on stage, screen and in live bands across the UK since a young age. Theatre credits include Billy Liar in ‘Billy’ (Lichfield Garrick), Link in ‘Hairspray’ (Leeds Grand), Emmett in ‘Legally Blonde’ (York Grand Opera House), Roger in ‘Rent’ (Birmingham Old Rep), Robbie Hart in ‘The Wedding Singer’ (Sutton Arts Theatre) and more recently Nick in ‘Fame’ (Sutton Arts Theatre). Film/TV credits include Testament of Youth, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Genius, Attrition, Peaky Blinders, Victoria, Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

Hugh Blackwood has been a member of one of Birmingham’s oldest theatre companies, The Crescent, for more than three decades. He has performed in productions such as Oliver!, Parade, The Crucible, Hamlet, Our Country’s Good, Little Shop of Horrors and as the lead in Othello. He is also the lead singer of the Birmingham soul band, The Atlantic Players.

 

Alan Magor To Direct The Stars That Remain Premiere

Alan Magor is an actor and director who graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire – Acting in 2010.

During his training he was selected to participate in specialist workshops with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and since graduating has amassed an array of credits spanning the UK and Europe.

Alan’s directing, assistant director and dramaturge credits include: Man Up! Project (Manic Arts); A Christmas Carol (Iqbal Khan/Box Clever Theatre); The Jewish Woman (Q2Q Theatre); Heathers, Rent, Les Miserables, Parade, Sweeney Todd, Wicked, Fame (BSS Showbiz).

He is also an audition panellist at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire – Acting, and a visiting drama tutor at Newman University, Birmingham.
